Pet Food Bank

Pet-loving families are in need. Your donated bag or dry cat or dog food helps neighbors who are struggling to care for their four-legged friends.

PAWS' Pet Food Bank program provides cat food and dog food to the four food banks on Bainbridge Island and North Kitsap. The food banks distribute the pet food in the same way they distribute food to help hungry families – mostly through families stopping by to pick it up.

Food donations to the program can be made by dropping off full or partial bags (or cans) of non-expired food at these locations:

Paws & Fins Pet Store, 360 Tormey Ln NE # 198, Bainbridge Island

Country Pet Shoppe (attn: Stephanie), 11132 NE 2nd St, Kingston

Pet Food Drives

Throughout the year, we rely on groups and individuals to help us meet the needs of the families served through our Pet Food Bank. If you are interested in organizing a pet food drive in your community, school, chruch or business, please contact our Outreach Coordinator, Amy Munns.

Once a month, volunteers take all donated food and re-package it into individual-sized bags. If you'd like to donate quart-sized or gallon-sized ziploc bags for this purpose, we can always use them. If you'd like to volunteer to support the program, either to help bag the food, or to deliver it, please contact Amy Munns

If you need assistance with food for your pets, please visit:

"Recently we did an event for PAWS of Bainbridge/North Kitsap. We gathered some prizes and gave raffle tickets to people who kindly dropped off donations of dog or cat food to our office on Sportsman Club Road. We are happy to say that the event was a success with over 1,000 pounds of food for PAWS donated.

PAWS has been able to divide up the food and deliver it to local food banks, and even keep some for the Cat Sanctuary here on the island.

Key to this event were all of the people who kindly brought in donations. Your generosity helps PAWS help those in need."

PAWS donors, businesses support new Pet Food Bank

Trying times sometimes are a catalyst for wonderful solutions. We wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has responded so generously to support PAWS' Pet Food Bank program.

With cat and dog food donated by individuals, veterinary clinics, pet food stores, and other businesses, we've begun steadily supplying our four area food banks with high quality pet food that their clients can pick up at the same time they pick up food for their families.

With our next round of deliveries, we're poised to go over the eleven ton mark. There's no question that this amount of pet food makes tons of difference for families in need (and for the health of their family pets).

All varieties of dry dog and cat food are gratefully accepted

Don't have time to drop off a bag of pet food?

Your donation of $19.30 will purchase 20 pounds of dog food for hungry pets.
