Board of Directors

Ona Karasa, Director

Ona brings over 25 years of executive leadership to PAWS. She's served as COO of Qliance, a health care innovator, President of Atlas, a division of aQuantive, Inc. (which was sold to Microsoft), and General Manager of both MSNBC.com and Olympics.com during the 2002 Winter Olympics. She focuses her expertise on PAWS's financial side, but her passion rests with the animals. Ona has two dogs and a PAWS adopted cat, she volunteers as an adoption counselor, and she has fostered numerous kittens for PAWS. She holds an M.A. from Bastyr University and a B.A. from Smith College in Massachusetts.

Tori Dotson, Vice President

Internet Services Manager, Windermere Services. Tori has had a life-long concern for animals. In her work at Windermere she has seen how having a pet helps build a family and make a house into a home. Tori shares her home with her two dogs and a cat, and understands first hand the importance of the human-animal bond in our lives and our community.

Elizabeth Greenlees, DVM, Treasurer

Dr. Greenlees promotes the human animal bond through her work as a veterinarian with a mobile small animal practice on Bainbridge Island, and serves as the "house call" vet for the cats that are part of our PALS senior support program.

Mindy Anderson, Secretary

President and owner, Aunty Min’s Specialized Pet Care, Inc. Mindy has been involved with PAWS for a number of years working on events and fundraising efforts. She loves asking people to support PAWS! "Aunty Min's" has been been offering professional pet sitting on Bainbridge Island since 2002.

Jen Bliss, Director

Jen has been an animal lover for as long as she can remember. She and her husband share their home with Daija May, their cat and any neighborhood dogs they can bribe into their backyard for an afternoon. As a professional fundraiser for the Downtown Emergency Service Center in Seattle, Jen has been working with PAWS on the fundraising front for a few years. She understands first hand the love freely given to humans from animals and works hard to do what she can to give it right back.

Delight Willing, Director

Delight came to PAWS because of her long involvement with animals and because of her admiration for PAWS as an important organization for the community of Bainbridge Island. Recently Delight has served on the Board of the Bainbridge Public Library, where she was president in 2009 and 2010. Prior to her retirement as Professor Emerita at Seattle University, she taught first in the doctoral program in Educational Leadership, and then developed and worked in the Master's Degrees in Adult Education and in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. Before to moving to Seattle University, she worked for sixteen years as an administrator at Renton Technical College. She began her teaching as a junior high school teacher in Ottawa, Canada. Delight spends time with her horses and other animals and with many books.
