Spay
and Neuter Program
Making
an impact on pet overpopulation
PAWS provides a free and low cost spay/neuter program.
PAWS volunteers have regularly gone the extra mile, arranging
appointments for those without phones, providing transportation
for those who cannot get their animals to the clinics
and spending countless hours educating the public about
the benefits of having pets that are spay/neutered.
Since 1998, PAWS of Bainbridge has spay/neutered 1,773
animals at a cost of $199,840.
Why Spay/ Neuter?

It's Good for Your Pet:
Spaying and neutering helps dogs and cats live longer, healthier lives.
Spaying and neutering can eliminate or reduce the incidence of a number of health problems that can be very difficult or expensive to treat.
Spaying and neutering reduces the risk of many forms of cancer in companion animals.
It's Good for You:
Spaying and neutering makes pets better, more affectionate companions.
Neutering cats makes them less likely to spray and mark territory.
Spaying a dog or cat eliminates her heat cycle.
Unsterilized animals often exhibit more behavior and temperament problems than do those who have been spayed or neutered.
It's Good for Your Community:
Communities spend millions of dollars
to control unwanted animals.
Animal shelters are overburdened
with unwanted animals that end up being euthanized
or suffering on the streets.
Prevention is wiser than destruction --
spay and neuter your pets.
