Is the registration fee $20 per walker or $20 per pet?

The registration fee is per walker.  However, we do not recommend walking more than two dogs at once in order to maintain control over your pets.

Can I walk a pet that is not a dog?
For the safety of those involved, only dogs are allowed on the walking trails.

I’m interested in joining a team, but they have already submitted their team registration form.  Is it too late to join?
Not at all.  Simply complete your individual registration form and add the name of your team captain.

Do you accept credit cards?
We prefer cash or check, but it is possible to pay by credit card by using our online payment system.  In the “Special Request” section, enter the name of the Dog Walk Participant and indicate that the payment is for the Dog Walk.

Are my donations and the sponsors’ donations tax-deductible?  How do I obtain a receipt?
Donations are tax-deductible.  Receipts will be mailed to participants following the event. For any other tax receipts, contact PAWS at 206-842-2451.

How do I prepare my dog for the event?
Your dog is a born athlete.  However there are some precautions to be aware of.  Watch your dogs for heat exhaustion and make sure they have plenty of water during the day.  PAWS will have water stations set up around the park.

Also be aware of your dog’s behavior around other dogs and take the necessary precautions to avoid aggressive behavior.

When do you need the money from my sponsors?
All funds need to reach our office by Friday May 30.  Mail the money along with your registration form to PAWS, PO Box 10811, Bainbridge Island WA 98110, or drop off at the PAWS Cat Adoption Center, 8820 Miller Road, Bainbridge Island. You may also register the day of the event.

Battle Point Park is located at 11299 Arrow Point Drive NE

Parking for the Dog Walk is easily accessible through the West Entrance on Battle Point Drive.

From north of Bainbridge Island:
• WA 305 South to Bainbridge Island
• Right on NE Day Road W
• Slight Left at Miller Rd
• Right at Tolo Rd (ignore sign for Battle Point Park at Arrow Pt Dr)
• Right on Battle Point to enter West Entrance

From the Ferry:
• Left at the light onto Winslow Way
• Right on Madison Ave
• Left on New Brooklyn
• Right at Miller Rd
• Left at Tolo Rd
• Right on Battle Point to enter West Entrance
